Here’s the thing: So I LOOOOOOVE ‘Hellsing’ (The Anime), but ‘Hellsing: Ultimate’…not so much; and that’s putting it mildly. It felt like they took this amazing adaptation and gave it to someone to make the most wannabe edgy shit they could out of it. Anyway, one of my favourite characters was Helena. So I conceptualised a character that was her progeny and after her death…😶…Ummm 🤨…spoilers?? 😆 After her death, he goes hunting for her killers and finds the remains of the round table traitors freak operation’s where while taking them out, he runs into the Hellsing organisation.
Long story short, Integra Hellsing eventually bends her rule one more time, making him an operative in the special operations division of her organisation alongside Victoria.
So I had this simple idea that what if the El cousins ships had arrived on earth at the same time like they were supposed to, as opposed to Kara’s getting stuck in space? They still get found by the Kents, it’s a bit more tenuous cause Kara is older and untrusting while trying to protect her baby cousin.
Like in the original, John and Martha tell the neighbours the kids are adopted after their parents passed. Part of the dynamic is exploring how difficult it is for Kara and the Kents being that she’s a teenager who doesn’t speak the native or know the local customs; in the original Clark is the only one and he’s a baby so he’d learn all this stuff like any other baby. The difficulty would grow exponentially when, seeing as she’s already a teenager, her powers kick in. I thought exploring it from these angles would
1: Show the dynamic of an older adoptive child that came to love their adopted parents through all the hardships they had to go through, versus the dynamic of a baby who finds out later (Btw: Watch ‘INSTANT FAMILY’ with Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne, really really good 😊).
2: Explore what the dynamic of the relationship between Kara and Kal would have been like if she was older and he grew up with part of himnot feeling like he was alone.
3: Have a fun dynamic between the duo where by the time he’s old enough to realize it, he see’s his older sister using all manner of awesome powers and keeps trying to trigger his in funny ways, being impatient for them to kick in as opposed to having no reference for what’s happening to him and has to suffer without any answers. The story would be set in more modern day but NOT, I repeat NOT drastically changing the core of the characters…🤨…New52 can suck it! 😝
So the idea is obviously a black Jessica Rabbit; decided to call her ‘Jessica O’ Hare’. Smart huh 😏…….Shut up 😆. Hmm 🤔 funny enough, she ended up looking like ‘Meg Thee Stallion’, go figure 😁
Now this character I designed to be inspired by Jay Garrick. The idea is that Jay saved this korean kid and his family, when he was under ten…🤔…the kid was under ten…not Jay 😅 So anyway the kid being a genius (Because of course he is 😄) sought to access the Speed-Force himself, but unlike Wally West who recreated the same experiment that had turned Barry Allen into a Speed-Force conduit, he did it through technological prowess. His moniker, The Streake (II) is based on an alternate universe variant of Jay from the D.C.Animated Universe ‘Justice League Unlimited’ show, called ‘The Streak’.
So D.C has this character called Mr.America that is associated with the ‘Justice Society’. The role has actually been served by different dudes at certain points and the character’s feel is essentially Detective-Zorro. I actually like the idea of more street level heroes; Gang Buster, Shang Chi, Daughters of the Dragon (Not exactly heroes but, you get what I mean), it’s one of the reasons I liked the Netflix Marvel shows so much…🤔…some more than others (And yes I liked ‘IronFist’ more than most, till the 2nd half of season2 went off a cliff 😑).
Anyway, so I thought I’d upgrade his look in a more modern style. Changed his moniker to ‘The American’ and took influences for the new suit from the Arkham games/The Dark Knight trilogy Batman.
And here we have a straightforward redesign of ‘Nubia of Themyscira’. 🤔 Still think the original story of her origin is pretty goofy and quickly contrived (Yes it worked perfectly for Donna, but Another ANOTHER twin?…and this one BLACK?! 🤨), but then again a lot of the original origins for golden age characters are the same way 😄
So some of you may remember #Marvels NEW ‘New Warriors’…😑 (God that shit was cringe). Anyway, lots of people did redesigns of the characters and I was no different. Thing is though, my neurotic mind went full throttle to fully create characters that seem to have fully become their own thing. And yes I’m fully aware of how many times I used ‘Fully’ there so…🤨…shu’ up 😝 FROST-FALL & AEGIS
We start with the twins, ‘FROST-FALL’ & ‘AEGIS’.
Frost-Fall is an avid gamer, her name being taken from a favourite Mod of a favourite game of hers 😏. Her abilities are Cryokinesis which she activates by generating through her skin on the atmosphere. She doesn’t yet have full control of this and if she goes overboard it can actually begin freezing her; hence her suit is designed to insulate against that.
Aegis, her brother has the ability to create force-fields. He can either fully envelope himself or others with these kinetic fields, or create them in bursts at specific positions around himself. Being a football jock one of his favourite moves is to charge full throttle at an enemy or obstacle and then manifest a partial force-field in front of himself half a second before impact, essentially delivering the force of a battering ram.

CONDUIT
‘CONDUIT’ is next up.
This popular ginger kid was never really tech-savvy beyond posting on social, but now has the physiological ability to connect to technology around him. So far his connectivity range is just over a mile before the nosebleeds begin and he passes out.
Given that the technopathic abilities are still new to him, he can’t stop himself from every little thought, which in his case, prompts a connection to nearby tech, so the suit he wears was crafted to contain his abilities to active connective intentions. He also has 3 specialised drones (Yet to draw those) that increase his range safely 🤔…ish. 😄.

SPIRIT WALKER
‘SPIRIT WALKER’ is the team leader.
In her family lineage, she is the first Spirit Walker in 7 generations that is able to manifest the spirits she can commune with. She is being trained by her grand-father in how to better manifest and work in tandem with said spirits, each of which have a medium needed to channel them. She has to have these mediums close, so she keeps them in a back-pack she specially fitted herself. The better she gets, the stronger her union with each of them becomes, making her effeciency with channeling them increase.
According to her grand-father, when her connection becomes through training and communing becomes powerful enough, she would soon begin to actually hear and speak with the spirits she summons, not just feel their emotions. She is currently able to summon the Eagle, Chameleon, Fox, Wolf, Falcon and Stag. The Bear she finds difficult to manifest and maintaining concentration when she does is quickly taxing.

NOX INCARNA
Finally, ‘NOX INCARNA’.
This young korean-american vampire has been stuck at 19 years old since the 90’s when he was mutated by the blood of Michael Morbius (Yes I kept the similarity in the origin from the character he’s redesigned from). He’s been living in the underside of society till he was found and put on the team as an attempt to rehabilitate him.
Claws from his fingers and toes are powerful enough to easily break into and climb walls; wings from his side can be expanded to glide for long distances. His strength, speed, durability, agility and regeneration are far above the strongest human. The downside: A thirst for blood.
Yes, yes, I know, the #Witcher school is actually of the Raven buuuuut 🤔…I like Crow so SUCK IT! 😝😄
Anyway, so I got into the Witcher games when part1 1st came out on P.C; got far into it but couldn’t finish it cause whichever fucking WACKJOB DECIDED TO ATTACH SUCH AN ACTIVE COMBAT SYSTEM TO MOUSE AND KEYBOARD IS THE DEVIL! Oh and the first douche that says “Git Gud Bruh” can eat a giant bucket of hot…(Breeeathe) 😆 So I really went full throttle from ‘Assassins of Kings’ (Witcher2) and that was when I found out about the source, the books by Andrzej Sapkowski. And then Witcher3 came out…and the world collectively died from happiness 🤔 Well the fantasy rpg gaming world anyway 😄.
So since Witcher2 I’d had this idea to create a Witcher from a different school that hadn’t been explored, so I began designing this dude. Then the Netflix series dropped (In which Henry Cavill does an amazing iteration of Geralt btw) and every artist and their mums began doing a Witcher O.C 😁
So Shaina West, amazing woman, martial artist, stunt performer. For a quick showcase of her stuff Watch Entertainment, an awesome youtube channel that cuts pretty sweet trailers has done two video tributes of her here and here; try not to fall in love 😏 Now reading of this woman’s story, it reads like a superhero’s backstory, which is fitting seeing as she has a nickname ‘The Samurider’ and is an anime-head who cites her fave character as being ‘Uchiha Itachi’ I mean why not, dude is the shinobi’s Shinobi! 😁
Anyway, I had to do a pic of her, designing the gear based on a combination of both her stuff she’s worn and used several combined with anime influences.
So I thought for a while that the way most mainstream audiences see Wonder Woman is somewhat a combination of different variants of her; some elements from the comics, some from that 70’s show…🤔 I mean…not ‘That 70’s Show’, I mean the 70’s show of Wonder Wo-You Know What I Mean! 😆
Anyway, it occured to me that 2 seperate characters could actually be created from her. So I kind of did. 1st we have Dyannaof Themyscira. This is the variant of her that is the immortal greek demi-goddess, born to Zeus & Hyppolita, raised by and among her immortal amazonian sisters.

2nd we have a variant of her that is meant to embody the 70’s good ole U.S of A representing, invisible plane flying, covertly fighting during the cold war.
For this one I went with a back-story that somewhat mimicked Steve Rogers where the U.S succeeded in creating a super soldier during W.W.II. Being that this permanently altered said soldiers D.N.A, their child inherited their abilities and became the Wonder Wonder who worked for the government, fighting during the cold war. And then in succession she had a daughter that just like her, inherited the same abilities. She is currently known as Wonder Woman III and works for a secret offshoot of the government where she was trained, outfitted and supported with a team.

And finally it occured to me that D.C comics had never really done a serious rendition of a Rule63 (Gender swapped) variant of Diana. They’ve had many of Kal and Bruce, even told full-on stories about them. But the only variant I’ve ever seen them do of Diana was somewhat a parody. So, I remedied that.
